​My Learning Safari will serve each child a nutritionally balanced meal and two snacks (morning & afternoon) during the day following the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines and the menu for the upcoming week will be posted in advance. Parents will be asked to provide a nutritious snack for their child's classroom once a month. Teachers will provide parents with a list of healthy snack options.


All children under 12 months of age shall be fed on demand, unless the parent provides other written instructions. Parents should provide formula or breast milk for children under 12 months unless parents desire alternate options. All other children under the age of two not on formula or breast milk shall be provided with whole milk unless otherwise directed by a physician.


Prepackaged treats are permitted at the center during birthdays and in celebration of other special days.Gum should not be used as a birthday or celebration treat. Food that comes from home for sharing among children should be either whole fruits to be prepared by staff at school or commercially packaged foods in factory-sealed containers. Parents may also desire to come to the classroom on their child's special day to share a book with the children.
